Can't get New Head Unit to Power On

I am installing a new head unit into my parents RV for them. I followed the wiring diagram in the Manual for the new HU and compared to the wiring diagram from the old Stock HU. I have connected all wires according to the diagrams, 12v ignition, 12v battery, ground, all speakers. An I cannot get the thing to work! If I hit the CD eject button I can hear the motor kick on so I know it has some power.

I checked all the fuses and they all tested out fine. The HU is a Kenwood KDC-X494 that I had in my old car. It worked up until the day I removed it so I doubt its the HU itself, but I guess anything's possible.

Any help would be appreciated!

Have you used a dmm to check the 12v battery wire?

Prolly might be a dumb question, but do you have the key on to acc? Most decks will eject a cd even if the ignition is off.

Didnt think to use a DMM. And yes, I had the key on ACC and tried with the engine running.

Grab the meter and start testing. Sounds like you have the +12 constant right.

Some vehicles dont fully run a 12 v constant so you have to grab a wire from another source.

You may have just not grounded correctly or your ignition is incorrectly wired or you have a bad headunit or bad constant wire.
