Cant get loud with out boost?

Alright a buddy of mine fried his amp,and I just happen to have my orion 2500d layin around( just got 2 pa 3000s for my HD3 orion for sale soon) so I let him use it and so on..We set the gains to about 550 rms watts...about 47 volts at 4 ohms goin to a ol black kicker L5,and it go loud but not nearly as loud as before.So I played with the bass boost and it slams it *** off. The L5 is in 3.5 cubes tuned to 35hz.Can anyone explain why it wont get loud with out the bass boost?

yeah..try 2ohm.

he cant wire it at 2 ohm retard. if hes running it at 4 ohms im guessing its a dvc 2 ohm. so go down to one ohm and just back off the gains a lot.

So, your buddy blew his amp, then you let him use your 2500?

Bad move.

Like said, try running it lower.
