Cannot get power to radio?

The car is a 1997 Infinity Q45. I took out the malfunctioning Bose double din to install a double navi unit. The radio is good because I hooked it up straight to the battery and it came on. I checked the radio fuse on the radio and the car's fuse box and they are good. I used a multimeter at the plug and the red and yellow wires read nothing. The only thing that is working is the power antenna. When I unplug the wire harness from the back of the radio the antenna retracts. Maybe it has something to do with the factory amp? I'm not getting any power from the ACC or Battery. I'm thinking about running it another way. I'd have to run a wire from the fuse box for the ACC and straight from the battery for the yellow wire. I wish there was an easier way, but I've test lighted everything all day and can't figure it out. It might be a fuse or relay under the hood? There is one lose plug that was in the Bose that is not being used, but the wire harness only has 2 plugs. I'm sure this has nothing to do with it. Does anyone know what the problem is?

did you use the Metra 70-7551 wire harness? the other harness may be for steering wheel controls or could include power features. did you meter the wires in the other harness? i typically go full replacement with factory Bose systems. i run my own power wire to the battery and generate a switched ignition with a relay and tap a factory wire in the fuse box or steering console.

you will need to feed the Bose amp with a signal from the new HU via the RCA jacks with the harness kit. And you need to tell the factory amp to turn on with the aftermarket turn-on wire.

There are no steering wheel controls. The last owner of the newer radio did have steering wheel controls on a Chevy, but I removed it. I'm bypassing the factory amp and changing all door speakers. I used a Scosche wiring harness. I don't think the type of kit matters. The problem is that there is no power coming from the yellow or red wire. Even if I get the Metra, there's no power at the plug.

did you replace the fuse anyway? did you meter both sides of the fuse to make sure power is going through? is there an amp fuse, if so did you check that one? if you put the factory radio back does it come on?

It's not getting power to any of the radio factory plugs and the fuse box is the same. Something blew. I think it might be a relay in the engine compartment not letting power through, but I don't know which one to look at? I hooked up the old Bose radio and it didn't work. When I test light the fuse box inside the car, nothing is lighting up.

It was a missing fuse in the fuse box. I still don't understand why the factory radio worked in the first place because I didn't remove any fuses.
If the factory radio was running then it is because the fuse was in place unless you had a secondary 12v or 12v data bus.

Its literally physically impossible for one to work and not the other as they both should pull power the same.
