Any time that you have more than one speaker playing the same frequency there will be cancellation. This is minimal at lower frequencies because the subs are basically just presurizing the whole car interior rather than just generating the standard waves that you think of when you think sound waves. As the frequency increases this cancellation becomes more pronounced until it is all but total. As frequency continues to rise the interference becomes more constructive until it is totally constructive, and then starts back towards destructive. Basically you will end up with many nodes of cancellation and reinforcement throughout the frequency spectrum. As long as you have differing pathlengths for drivers playing the same frequencies this will be he case.
