can you put an unmodded 81000D to 1 ohm?

im tired of only using 1 L7... i want to hook the other one up to make a 1 ohm load ... or will the "protection circuit" or whatever just shut the amp off? i will eventually do the mod, but i just dont have the time nor the tools to do it on campus (plus i dont want everyone seeing what i have in the trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif )

what do you mean? i could drop it to 1 ohm?
After rise it should be over 2 ohms at least so it should be fine I would think.

Just set gains right for 1 ohm and youll be set. Also check voltage in to make sure your feedin it enough juice.
