Can This Be Done With PreAmp Out RCA

Is this even possible. I took one of my preamp out RCA lines from my head unit and connected it to a "Speaker Wire to RCA Plug Converter". ( see pic ). I purchased it on Amazon. Now with the head unit powered up should this power up a speaker? Sorry, hope this makes sense.
