can my amp handle a compvr 12?

I have a boston 5 channel gta1105 amp, it says 400rms to the d channel at 2 ohms and cvr12 is 2ohm sub at 400rms would that be ok and not blow it. Also that seems like perfect power ratio?

You need a D4 sub to get a 2ohm load.

You need a 4 ohm dual voice coil subwoofer to wire down to 2 ohms.

A D2 will wire to 4 ohms or 1 ohm. That amp isn't stable at 1 ohm and wont put out enough power at 4 ohms.

so what if I take a 4ohm alpine type s sub and just follow the diagram to wire it as a 2ohm sub would that work. I always thought a 2ohm sub would just plug in as 2 ohm.

also the kicker is this Kicker - CompVR 12" Dual-Voice-Coil 2-Ohm Subwoofer

it says duel voice coil 2ohm sub so it should be plug in play but I guess Im just confused.

the alpine says duel voice coil 4 ohm sub, so the alpine works then correct/

Yes you need a DVC 4 ohm subwoofer. The wiring diagram shows you wiring options.
