...the only thing close to looking like a 9887 is the blue buttons and even those are off
9887 has motorized face and a totally diffrant volume knob

this is like me saying a sony sub is a rip of a alpine sub

the 9887 doesnt have a motorized face, it flips down but no motor

the 9887 flips down.. but you have to manually close it back after loading/ejecting a cd.

Alpine is running the race backwards.

i have to agree. the majority of faceplates that flip down aren't motorized from what i have seen.
