i’m new to having a car, and i have a 2013 kia soul with the factory navigation radio. it has touchscreen but it is very uncalibrated, and is you know, 8 years old. i would like to switch this out for a double din radio with apple carplay, but the crutchfield website says it advises against it. i know there’s a lot of wires connecting everything and that’s what the issue is but i don’t even need the nav system. what do you guys think?

Another vote for Crutchfield. If they have a radio that fits, they will wire the harness for you at an extra charge. Makes it plug and play. You can also make contact with a support representative, who can guide you through the selection process.
