And to your question: You'll be fine. You can smoke, especially with a vape. You're the only one who will know if it bothers you, but as far as dry sockets go you should be in the clear as long as you're very careful about how hard you ****.

Weed isn't cheap, and it doesn't really get you high. I've smoked before, and I honestly couldn't tell that it did anything. Most of the effect is a placebo effect... studies have shown this. You are basically burning your money.

Its funny, you portray yourself as knowledgeable because you are an ex-musician, but its obvious you haven't tried smoking pot more than a few times in your life. Probably just the once you refer to here.

Many people, Id even venture to say most people, receive no buzz off pot the first time or two they smoke it. I was that way, so were most of my friends in H.S. when we all started smoking it. Yep, I remember the very first time I smoked it, I thought I was stoned, I walked around telling people how stoned I was (like an ***), but the reality was that WAS a placebo effect. I thought Id be stoned, so I made myself stoned. A couple smoking sessions later, I realized this, quickly. Ive now been smoking on and off for more than 20 years, probably smoked 3x more pot than anyone else on this forum (no, Im not bragging, its nothing to be proud of), I had a "medical card" IN Cali for multiple years, and I can definitely say without a doubt that you are about as far from as expert on smoking pot, and its affects, as there is. So please stop lecturing people like you have any idea about pot, or its affects.

And ik for a fact its not a placebo. I can tell each strain different from the other. I can tell whether a strain i smoke is indica or sativa based on the high.

I always used to be against marijuana until i got a card, now i feel like it should be legal. Its could be widely self prescribed with minimal side effects. Not to mention it could be used as a stress reliever. I think its nuts to have to pay nearly $1000 in medical tests and expenditures to get prescribed a drug that I could have personally prescribed myself.

$1000 in tests? Really? In Cali I told a doctor in a local clinic I had migraines. He gave me a 1 week prescription for a mild pain killer, which a second doctor the next day then changed to a 1-year medical marijuana prescription. Total cost to me, approx $80 and 2 hours of my time. The medical aspect of it in California is a joke.

Funny/sad story, when I went into the 'pot doctors' office to get my 1-week script changed to the marijuana script, my appt was one of the first ones in the morning. The doctor was running late. Myself and quite a few other patients were sitting around waiting for him to show up. He called in, the nurse put him on speaker phone because she was doing 4 things at once, and he told her (and announced to the entire waiting room) that he was late because he's so damn drunk that he missed his exit on the interstate. He shows up 10 mins later, we all hear him come in the back door of the office. The nurse runs into the back room and closes the door, but we can still hear every word said. She tells him "you were on speaker phone and everyone heard you are drunk". He steps outside, looks a little embarrassed, then cracks some quick joke about needing to pee and ducks into the bathroom. So then after that he comes out and starts interviewing patients (to prescribe them pot). Im the second one in. He sits me down and starts asking me questions that seem ... odd... then after a few of them I realize he's asking me questions as if Im not a new patient, but one returning to renew my prescription from a previous year. I played along because I didnt know how to tell this 'doctor' he is an idiot in a polite manner. Im not sure he ever realized he had never seen me before.
