I take adderall xr 25mg twice a day. It doesn't make you want to work. It helps keep unwanted thoughts out of my head and enables me to calm down. Yes, you head that right, people will real ADHD *calm* down when they take stimulants. It balances the 3 main neurotransmitters in your brain.

I am lazy a lot of the time and I just dont have the motivation or desire to do things sometimes. I will do them, it just takes a lot of self control to push myself I guess.
However, today before work I took an adderall for the first time. I had been thinking about consulting my doctor about my lack of focus and what not, but a buddy gave me one of his 70mg pills from his new scrip last night so I figured I would finally try it.
So far so good. I took it after I got out of the shower this morning around 8:00 and by the time I was on my way to work I was awake and alert much more so than usual. Plus I only got like 6 hours of sleep last night.
I havent been able to stop working since I got here. I am constantly going from typing a bunch of stuff up to searching the web and grabbing a cup of coffee. Its great, Im just completely focused and dont have a problem doing work, Im just not daydreaming and getting side track. Its kind of weird though and I just wouldnt feel comfortable taking it everday.
However, if I had a prescription to adderall I would not hesitate to take one when whenver I have a lot of stuff to do. I think I might see my doctor and explain it to him and see what he can do. I know for a fact it would help me a ton with school, I always get weighed down with school work and when I finally have time to work on it I just cant focus on what needs to be done.
PS- I feel like I could just sit here and type on this keyboard all day without stopping lol
edit- it wasnt a 70mg adderall but a 70mg vyvasne(sp?) equals like a 30mg adderall iirc
