Can I do this?

I got an AQ2200 and a Singer 350a alt for christmas.. but the alternator was built for the wrong vehicle. Michael is fixing it right now and he said it wont be done for 2-3 weeks. My question is if I can still run my AQ2200 with my stock 160a alt?

I understand gain isnt a volume knob... but if I have a lower gain that wouldnt it put out less power? I have a D975 in the front and a D1200 in the trunk. Can I setup a temporary system until the new alt comes?

PS: Id be running it at 0.5ohm

Absolutly ..just set the gains prolerly and watch the voltage ..id reccomend a volt meter in sight when doing this.if u jave a dmm u can set the gains to 1200-1500rms and it should get you close ..like i said just watch the voltage

I have a 2012 Chrysler 200... the 2.4L version comes with a 140a

Dude i have a crescendo bc3500 on my stock alt which is 120 amps but I have the big 3 and a second xs d3400 in the rear and I don't see bad voltage drop at all as long as I'm at idle. Obviously im going to upgrade the alt but for now its fine. Gain set at about 50%
