Can I Do This?

I know you can wire two 4 ohm dvc subs to 1 ohm. If I have four subs and I wire them in two sets both to 1 ohm, can I put both of those sets into a mono amp and have it read a 1 ohm load even there it's two sets of 1 ohm?
