Hey guys I just got one "12 Kicker 2 ohm L7 and a PA 1250.1 Mono Amp to power it.

I have a 1996 Honda Civic with eveything stock.

I'll be driving this car with this setup daily and I'm wondering if I can just hook up the amp and sub w/out doing the big 3 or getting a better battery or anything and if it would be fine. I'll probably be giving the sub 900 rms and I will probably get a HU soon (nothing too fancy).

I'm really tight on money and the worst thing is that my dad doesn't want me doing anything to the car. I basically bought the sub and amp behind his back and I asked him about a HU and he was very reluctant but agreed to get one. So I HIGHY doubt he would let me/help me do the Big 3 or any other upgrade.

You need to run decent power wire to the sub amp. Get extra to do the big 3 with. It's by far the cheapest of the electrical upgrades you can do.

I would love to do that but I have way too much going on. I have finish up my senior year, and I'm also taking a shit load of college course now, and my job doesn't schedule me that much. Plus, when I do get my pay check I have to put most of it in the bank for college.

well just get some extra power wire, do the big 3 under the hood. $20 maybe. Then when you can get a better battery. You should be ok. Although Hondas do have small alternators so maybe you can find a used HO alt. But for now big 3 should help you some.
