can i bridge?

the amp: https://www.savinglots.com/lotprod.asp?item=BOSR635the sub: alpine type-r dvc 4-ohm

what is the best way to hook up this sub to this amplifer to get the most juice out of it? wire it in series or paralell?

same question applys if the sub were DVC 2-ohm too. (because idk if its dual 2 or 4 ohm and it doesnt say it on the back of the sub itself:( )

you need to know if its 2 or 4

OK, I wont even look. There are many better amps out there for the price, are you sure you want bottom of the line quality? If youdo, then I cananser your question for you. BTW, they are discontinued so.....

And they dont give the impedance at which the amp is stable bridged, so assume 4ohms, and in that case, yes you can bridge the amp. Wire the subs in series/parallel for a final load of 4ohms(if they are 4ohmers).

its a friends setup and im trying to figure why my hifonics brutus bx500d didnt bump compared to this pos boss amp he had?

the bx500d does 500w @1 ohm, 250w @2 ohm, and 125w @ 4ohm, if im correct?

he checked the back of the actual sub to see if it were dual 4 or dual 2, but no label there.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

so assuming if the type-r were a dual 2ohm, how would i go and bridge or get the most juice? and assume if it were the dual 4ohm, same question?

i really dont know how to bridge or understand it fully, is there a FAQ somewhere like crotchfield? is it just connecting the neg of the sub to both negs of the amp? and same for positive?

No, usually it is on + from one channel and one - from one channel, but he channels are usually pre-determined.
