can i afford it?

From what I seen, Rangers and F-150 are very close in price for same year model and mileage. With this being said you get alot more truck with the F-150 than a Ranger.
If your going for a all out monster, get the F-250, but if you dont really need the extra power and such, get the F-150.
ya thats what im thinkin. If i end up stayin at home ill get the 250 and if i move out it will be the 150.

what's the point of having that big of a truck? i mean is your job going require you to haul shit around? IMO just look at a decent 4x4 truck and do your own mods to it like lifts and tires etc. etc.

Well I will be pulling our 36' camper to the lake every so often, dads little f150 is startin to struggle with it a little. It would be nice because of that. We even used out FORD 9000N toter to pull it one time LOL

Wait until the new 6.8(I think) Twin Turbo..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
It will be a 6.4TT and of course the first year it will have some issues.

Oh and you should be able to find a nice F150 for less than 10K.

my advice dont buy one already jacked up by a factory height 4x4...throw a 6inch suspension($1200?) and 3inch body lift($180) and then tires it will be much cheaper.....and it will be a good experience putting the lift on

I been wantin to get a jacked up powerstroke for 4 or 5 years now. I love the way they look and sound. Ill be in the market for some kind of newer jacked up truck in a couple months. Im wondering if i could afford a 99-2000 powerstroke f250 and ive also been lookin at 99-2000 chevy 2500's. I start working in a few weeks again and i start at bringin home $1550/month. Then after 90 days ill be bringin home $1700/month both after taxes. I did a insurance quote on both and insurance would cost me about 400/month. payments would cost me about $300 a month. So BOTH payments would be about 700 a month. Ill be movin out after i get w/e truck and stayin with a buddy splittin housing costs. Do yall think i would have enough money to pay for a truck like this or should i go with something smaller like a 97 f150 jacked up, it was alot cheaper payment and insurance wise.
Thanks in advance,

Michael
They are sticking it in your butt.

I pay $900 a year on my TL Edition B-Series That's at 16 when that rate started. With most things covered (UM, PIP, Theft, etc..). Check into programs you can do to get the price down and do 6 month payments instead of monthly payments.

and State Farm FTW.

What is your deductable?

State Farm Dropped my *** lol!

I paid $136 a month for liability on my camero @ 16 (state farm)

$175 for a $1000 deductable on my '94 chevy @ 18 (state farm)

Now I pay $289 for a $1000 deductable on my current chevy...(progressive)

This coming march I will have a big insurance break and then again in May when I turn 25...oh I cant wait.

Hey guys, please drive carefully, safely, and within the speed limit...You wont regret it once you actually start paying for things.
