I guess it depends on how bad you want to retain your factory steering wheel controls. Frankly, for the price, I just wouldn't have them install one as they aren't *that* important to me. But, looks you aren't going to find much cheaper. They're even going on ebay for $65+shipping
negativezeroz, it's not a "remote". It's an OEM interface that allows you to retain the usage of your OEM steering wheel radio controls with most aftermarket headunits.
THATS what i awas gonna say, thats what the brown wires are for ,so long as you have a voltage type detection steering wheel control.call eclipse and ask them about it. I have to do the same thing about my VW 03thanks for the help man! I guess I am going to call eclipse because according to them the deck should be able to retain my steering wheel controls

You need the SWI-ECL made by PAC that is made especially for Eclipse head units is a plug and play for all vehicles with steering wheel control
wheres here and how much do you have them for? Is it the best way to hook up my dakota steering wheel controls to my deck? or is there better?Thats correct. I have em here, but theres still a bit of wiring needed.
The CD7000 will have this built into the unit with learning/teaching capabilities
