Can anyone here get eclipse HU assoc?

I need the PESWIX steering remote control module for my 8455 local shop says 89.95+ 30 bones to install that sound fair?

That product is made by Peripheral, not Eclipse.

I guess it depends on how bad you want to retain your factory steering wheel controls. Frankly, for the price, I just wouldn't have them install one as they aren't *that* important to me. But, looks you aren't going to find much cheaper. They're even going on ebay for $65+shipping

negativezeroz, it's not a "remote". It's an OEM interface that allows you to retain the usage of your OEM steering wheel radio controls with most aftermarket headunits.

thanks for the help man! I guess I am going to call eclipse because according to them the deck should be able to retain my steering wheel controls

THATS what i awas gonna say, thats what the brown wires are for ,so long as you have a voltage type detection steering wheel control.call eclipse and ask them about it. I have to do the same thing about my VW 03

If the brown wire + eclipse software doesn't work, pac makes an eclipse steering converter which is hardwired, rather than using the IR eye like the one mentioned in this thread.

this is SWEET e mailed eclipse and got

You need the SWI-ECL made by PAC that is made especially for Eclipse head units is a plug and play for all vehicles with steering wheel control

Thats correct. I have em here, but theres still a bit of wiring needed.

The CD7000 will have this built into the unit with learning/teaching capabilities

wheres here and how much do you have them for? Is it the best way to hook up my dakota steering wheel controls to my deck? or is there better?

thanks for the help

I am trying to stay away from non hard wired options as I will be in sunlight often and not wanting to get hicups and such!

I have them in my shop. IIRC theyre about $65. It has Chrysler listed, but not Dodge so Im unsure about your particular truck.

I know thw pac one will work with my application and I like that it is hard wired as well so I am pretty sure I am gonna go with that. found a few on e bay and not sure but there all about 68 shipped. anyone on here got or sell pac stuff?

The exact vehicle here is a 2000 Dodge Dakota R/T club cab w. stock premium -infinacrap- sound system all of course taken out for current sys.
