Can anyone help me bridge on Halo 2?

I've got all the stuff i need. I just cant make someone host.
Any help is appreciated.
I don't see why people cheat in Halo 2. I love the game when I play with people who aren't cheating, but when someone cheats it brings the whole experience down. You should be banned from XBOX live even for attempting it.

I'm doing it to prevent cheating. When you make someone in your party host it garuntees that you don't getting modded, standbied, ect.
hahahah you are such a noob.

it doesn't prevent cheating, it IS cheating. because you're giving yourself and your team an unfair advantage over the other team because you have host. and if you don't think that's an advantage then you're even more of a noob than you seem now.

you want to not get cheated? it's simple.

step 1. get someone on your team that can listen for new maps. don't play new maps because you can't mod old maps.

step 2. always get boxes. sure sometimes it takes a couple minutes, but i'd rather wait 5 minutes and not get cheated than wait 10 seconds and get cheated.

step 3. go in in parties of 4 so you never have a deleveler. if you can only get 3, sign in a second account and then quit him out at the beginning of every game, so every game is 3 on 4. it gives you an advantage on every map except warlock, which is a new map so you shouldn't be playing it anyway.

step 4. if you join the same persons boxes twice in a row, wait a couple minutes before you start boxes again. if you join the same boxes 3 times in a row you get locked in. load an old map, change to team training, play a custom game to 5, just waste a minute or two before you search games again.

if you follow all these rules, you MIGHT get cheated once every 30 games. Not to mention the fact your level is like high twenties or low thirties, so cheating shouldn't even really be that much of a problem anyway.

bridging/modding/standbying is for ******* and you just almost became one

Okay first off for all the morons out there..Let me give you this FACTUAL INFORMATION..

ONE: HOST BOXES DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL EVER GET HOST OR WILL NOT GET CHEATED. YOU CAN GET HOST BOXES AND STILL NOT GET HOST, STILL GET MODDED, AND STILL GET BRIDGED.

TWO: Bridging is NOT cheating. Bridging is actual allowed, bridging people out / lagging people out of the game, however, is cheating.

THREE: Bridging does help prevent cheating. It helps in multiple ways, a) most modders also have a bridger to guarantee they get host. They do this becasue mods always work better if you're host. b) Your team always having host gives you the guarantee that you will never get standbyed/team standbyed. c) If you do happen to run into a modder who doesn't bridge, you'll be able to lag them out of the game, which means the cheater leaves and you play the rest of the game as it should be -- legit. d) If you bridge you will *never* get matched up against another bridger. That's good, you know why? Because as I said, *most* modders also bridge. When I started bridging, I never once got cheated, and trust me, playing Halo cheat-free is a Hell of a lot more fun.

FOUR: You CAN be modded on old maps, sorry, but that's just a myth going around that you can't, the reason people think you can't is because very few people know how to do it, it requires a lot more knowledge than normal modding. So if someone ever tells you that you can't get modded on an old map, find out their address, drive to their house, and slap them.

----

Flame/bash me or him as much as you'd like, in the end I know I'm right, you're wrong, you'll cry about how I'm wrong and you're not and how you know everything and I'm just a noob. But this is coming from someone who has bridged, who has standbyed, who has modded casually on Xbox connnect, and who does know how to mod on old maps. So you can argue with me all you'd like, you can call me a noob because I possess the skills which you do not, and the chances are 90% of the people that read this thread have at one time or another (or will) party up with a modder, party up with a bridger, party up with a standbyer, or have gone to a forum asking for help just like he has.

You can call me a noob, newb, loser, cheater, thrash, whatever you'd like. The fact of the matter is that you're the one doing such things on an online message board, whereas I am however filling you in on the real information. What I said here is true.

----

I'm sure I'll get atleast one person who will PM me or AIM me or contact me any way they can asking how to bridge, asking how to mod, or asking how to mod on old maps, but let me tell you the simple answer:

No, I won't teach you how to bridge, you'll use it wrong.

No, I won't teach you how to mod, learn by yourself, I did.

And I will never disclose how to mod old maps on Xbox Live, it is one of the most well kept modding secrets out there which only a few hundred people actually know how to do.

Thanks =]

lawl you're an idiot

a. if only 'a few hundred people' know how to mod on an old map, what do you think the chances are little Johnny Level29 is going to get modded on an old map are?

b. bridging is cheating, whether or not you use it to gain an advantage(i.e briding people out or team standbying) you are disobeying the xbox live and bungie TOS. If I mod in a game completely by myself, it is a banable offence, even though i'm not hurting anyone by doing it.

c. If you have host boxes, you may get standbyed for host, but you will not get bridged on your own boxes, because that's not how bridging works. If you can find me one spot in my post that says "getting boxes guarantees host" i'll paypal you a dollar. So your rant about how host boxes doesn't get host is moot. If my firewall is on high, i can not join anyones boxes except those who are in my trusted. Now if you get kicked out of your boxes and locked into someone elses instantly and you don't see it because you're looking away or something stupid, that's your own fault.

d. I never said you couldn't get modded on your own boxes.

i'll repeat it again. You are an idiot.

not to mention the fact, that if he follows the steps I listed, him being cheated will become a very low occurance, hence your post not being needed at all.
