Can an IDQ 12" handle 600W rms ?

i am thinking of running one IDQ 12" v2 DVC 2 off my jbl 1200.1

i am running it at 4 ohms...so the sub will see about 600w

should i get the Dual 2 or dual 4 and run it at 8 ohms ?

what do you guys think ?

i know someone giving them 500W rms from a US Amps 2000x

oh well i dunno that 600 watts rms would be pushin it, b/c it would be in a ported box, and the jbl probably puts out close to 650 rms probably

hmmm but in the install above...the 2000X puts out more than 2000W....so each sub would see more than 500W

and those boxes are ported

he prolly has it wired in some sort of parallel lessening the rms a bit.

hmm well i doubt...i pretty sure they are getting 500W+

if it were in parallel...they would have gotten about 250 each

i don't think the guy bought such an expensive amp jus to run it at half the power

i will ask him though
