its a double din dvd player, so yes it will play dvd video

thanks for the offer bud, however I just recently picked up one blindly without even knowing it plays dvd video.

Of course. You'll need a PAC-TR7 to play video while driving, though.

Do you have to manually press/flip the switch every time? If so, I'd much rather pay $20 for the TR7. 4 wires and it's done forever.

i hooked up my bypass and my 205 just plays the video and there is no audio for dvds. but my radio and ipod audio work fine. anyone kno what i did wrong????

That is very strange.

FWIW, My W205 is acting crazy as well. I have no IPOD audio all of a sudden, though it shows to be playing, and worked fine before. Sometimes I can't access all of the Visual EQ adjustments. Sometimes the unit takes a minute to come on. Sometimes it freezes up and the buttons beep and the pulsetouch works but the unit itself does not respond. The benefit of this over a piece that always makes DVD's work is if you get pulled over by a cop it looks like it won't play DVD's. It's saved my butt a time or two.
