Can a new head unit 100% duplicate stock function

Hey,
Can a new head unit completely duplicate the stocks functions (settings for the car and phone ect), plus adding functions that they can provide with a hotspot, like Tidal and Pandora

i started a Rav4 question about head units, and I thought a little more specific question would elicit some different experiences broader perspective

I'm thinking that any new aftermarket head unit that you purchase will require you to purchase an additional module specific to your car; to retain stock features such as steering wheel controls for your stereo. You will have to search for a head unit that provides hot spot, etc.
Others may be able to provide more information.
