Pyramid (yea i know) actually has low end subs with 3" coils, dual spiders, etc. For around 50 each. They get off for what they are

it would be close, i got a good 600w on a pair and they have gotten stinky a few times but they havnt done it in a few months, I plan to get 2 more off a bxi2006d which should be something like 1200w

I have an AP1.5kD that will give them the power. I figured 4 of these for 160 would be better than anything else I can get for around that price.

my pair is off a hifonics Z6000 has been good for about 3 mths or so, I would say your friend is a rtard

Well, i installed them and everything was done right. Maybe he just got a bad batch, lol. They sounded like *** too, but they were in a prefab sealed box he had. You running yours ported or sealed?

If they are in the right box they will def take 400 watts a piece. My girlfriend has a part in her car off a Kicker 750.1 and havent had no problems yet. Just set the gain right and you wont have any problems.

I had one in a pro box one time on about 400 watts and it did fine,great bang for buck subs,think i paid 28$ shipped.

mine are in a ported 4.5 32hz i had layin around, your dude could have cranked up the gain or bass boost or whatever on his deck after he was gone too. They sound decent, not the best I have had, but I have had far worse, actually surprised me, the rear view mirror fell off in my beater lol.
