I'm guessing it's a resounding NO but some people have been telling me they run 1000+rms for years to them is this true?

There's a lot of factors to that question. I think a lot of it comes down to knowing when to back off the volume.

They have a 2.6" voice coil, actually it's slightly bigger than the old models

I had two 12's powered at 1300 watts at the max and they ran perfectly and sounded great. I think these subs can do more than 500 rms each
