Came across 2 DD 1508s, What to do with them?

I got a deal on two 1508's and couldnt turn them down. The question is what should i do with them? I just got my level 4xl a couple weeks ago so I'm thinking about building a box for them and then I can switch them out every now and then. The only thing is that the box for the xl would be a hassle to take in and out since it barely fit in the trunk. So should I sell them, trade them, or keep them? Not sure what to do with them.

Observation note. Hadn't seen an 8 inch sub in a while, I was surprised by how well built these are. beasty subs!

Nice find, assuming the price was as good as you imply. But not sure how to answer your question. How should we know if you should keep them or sell them? That's pretty much a personal preference thing. For example, I wouldn't run just two 8's for subs, no matter how many strangers on the internet said I should. But other people could feel entirely different. For another example, if you have no subs currently, Id pretty much automatically say try them. But, if you currently run an LMS Ultra 18, Id pretty much automatically say sell/trade them.

It would be helpful if you reword your question to be more specific. The more info you give us, the more informed our answers will be.

I've already got some DD coaxials for the front and some solid 6x9s so not sure I would.

Got both for really cheap cant give out the price since I might be looking to sell/trade. Guy said one might need a recone but checked the coils and gave each 500 watts and it sounded fine so not sure. He said he dropped something on it (theres a little scuff on one of the dustcaps) and he thought it wouldn't work anymore so he was getting rid of them.

I've got a 15 inch level 4xl so I do have a sub and don't really have need for these. I don't think these would be enough bass for me to be happy with so that's why im not sure what to do. As far as putting them in the doors I'm set on the speakers I have. It would be interesting to try it out though and see what it sounds like but then I would need to also pick up some pretty solid tweeters to match the midbass. If I were to do this would I need to put in some crossovers? Ive only had two sets of components before and they weren't the best quality so this is something I'm not as familiar with.

The DD1508 is a subwoofer. It might work alright as a dedicated midbass driver, but it wont work for a midrange driver. In other words, if you did use them for midbass in the doors, you'd still need mids, not just tweeters.
