Hey guys, I was wondering if you could lend me a hand. I have an enclosure that came with my 2 Armageddon 10's. Its ported and my buddy told me it was built for the subs. But hes not sure if its "correct" so to speak.

Kove reccommends 1.45 per chamber with a 4x10" round port (not sure how to calculate that to a rectangle port).

These are the dimensions of the enclosure. 3/4" MDF BTW.

32-1/8"W x 13-1/8"H x 13-1/4"D (Outside measurements)

Port area- 10"H x 3"W x 8.5"D

Is this enclosure right for these subs or would you recommend building a new one?

I calculate the port volume (including wood) to be ~0.255 Cubes, port area to be 30 square inches, and chamber volume to be 1.04 per side.

Yea. I would build another one.

I believe that box is tuned in the high 40s, not sure tho.

that port sounds like it's a little big....

give me the specs of the sub and i'll get you a cut sheet... for the ideal box for those armagedons..

Port area is slightly larger than recommenced, 30 in^2 vs 24 in^2

I'm not sure of the tuning though.

Sup Seth, I figured that was to small. Chris that used to own Car Trix built it, but I think he was probably drunk when he did (that happened alot). Here is a link to the spec sheet from Kove. justin will sketch up a cut sheet for you built to the woofer spec's.. you will be happy... for shizzle!!

oh and i think i might sale that mtx8100d. and get a brand new kicker zx2500.1

i didnt realize that until i looked at the link. it is probably tuned correctly, but the box just isnt big enough.

i have never heard of those subs so i had no idea what they were supposed to be tuned at.over 40hz just seemed high.

that box looks like the one i have my trunk right now but i have 2 7500 mtx's in it lol those subs look freakin massive man i bet those could put up some major numbers if givin right amout of power.

from the mesurements of the port an box i would say that it is tuned right at 40 or 45 no higher than that cause that is what mine is tuned too. it should be loud as hell if u put a good amount of power to it like i do mine. i say keep it though but hey ur the one that has to listen too it
