You have no idea how much I've learned since those builds. We all had to start somewhere.

But that doesnt change the fact you still have the wrong idea about t-lines and what purpose they serve.

While I love transmission lines, I wouldn't want to use one for SPL. Or for subbass in a vehicle.

I've been reading a little bit ;-)
But after all this is the internet, and as the point was just made - there are TONS of misinformed individuals who try to educate others.

So I'm confused, nonetheless - I thought a 1/4 wave and a Transmission Line were very similar - almost the same thing, and that a snailshell was also based around the same type of concept?

1/4 waves and t-lines are similar. But t-lines are very exact. Many people incorrectly refer to 1/4 waves as t-lines but thsat isnt the point.

Speakers arent magical, nor are they really complicated and neither are any of these designs. I guess you could say they were all based on the same premise but the characteristics of each will vary with environment and speakers. So to say t-lines are louder when in fact the opposite is true the majority of the time is incorrect. But of course there are exceptions.

Everything is gutted right now. Hopefully changing vehicles in the next 2 weeks. I was gonna start off with an 18 in a walled t-line.

I wish ppl would stop getting the wrong idea about me

I would say your in the wrong place to really learn about these types of enclosures. I would go over to a home audio/theater forum and read up.
