Calc II...

I have to say its more interesting the second time around than the first b/c now I can actually od it and understand what I am being taught

omg... only after 2 years out of college I completly forgot how to solve it... how idiot
Not really, you dont exactly use it for anything so why would you recall something exactly when you havnt had a use for it in 2 yrs?

Math isnt my strong point either, but ive never needed to use anything beyond simple geomety & common sense. Im not exactly into engineering though, so who knows.

Personally, I hate having to learn something when its irrelevant to know it.

okay i did the rest of my review problems...

this is the only other one that gave me trouble

(interval) (cos x)*(sin x)^2 dx

read as the interval of cosine of x times sine of x squared dx

if your not an egineer physicist doctor or chemist u prolly dont use it

u substitution: u = sin(x)

1/3*(sin(x))^3 +c
watch the parenthesis
Werd, be careful with those. ToyTundra posted the right answer. It sounds like you understand it but you made a simple mistake at the end (which may have been an error in translation). I really wouldn't call Calc II hard. It takes a little while to understand the language, but after Calc I it should come a little easier. Calc III gave me more trouble than II, and Diff Eq. was even worse. I'm definately glad I'm finished with Physics and Math. Good luck!

Oh calc, been done with it for 2 years now. Don't worry though, Calc 3 is infinitely easier than calc 1 or 2. The next thing you have to worry about is Differential Equations, those can be a pain in the ***.

Odd, Calc 1 was difficult but not overly so, Calc 2 was a nightmare and Calc 3 was a walk in the park, for me at least. I totally agree on Diff Eq. though.

That's what everyone says, but I guess I'm messed up. I aced Calc I and II but not Calc III. I think by the time I got to Calc III I was fed up and really didn't care as much. I really dunno. I didn't really think the material was hard, I just didn't do very well.
