just wondering i was looking into a 91 cadillac deville and ive hered a few people say they are a POS but no one says why any reason for this?? what wrong with them?

I drove an '88 Cadillac ElDorado for about a year before the engine blew. It was pimp actually, no complaints other than poor fuel economy from the 4.5 liter V8.

It's a cadillac, what more do you need to know.

Unless it's just in terrible shape it will be more than a sufficient daily driver.

Pros :

-It probably has lots of options, power everything, and a nice leather interior, lots of space

Cons :

-Poor fuel economy

Who knows :

-People either love or hate cadillac's styling, it's your car so you have to figure it out

i own a 95 deville and ive had no problems with it. well i changed the ac compressor and THATS IT... other than that gas can get to you but it's not as bad as people think. i would get like 20 miles/gallon...

Why do you say that? My 88 had power seats, locks, sunroof, digital gauges, all kinds of pointless data displayed, and it all worked perfectly.

The only power option that wasn't working was the trunk, and it was broken when I got the car. The guy who owned it before me packed the trunk so full it wouldn't close, and instead of removing stuff, they just had about 4 guys sit on the trunk until it grabbed the latch, needless to say it couldn't close and just burned its self up. Went to a junkyard and got a new motor for $20, worked like a champ after that.

i just got rid of my 92 DeVille this summer

i wouldnt buy one unless you have money to burn

they get sh!tty gas mileage, very sh!tty reliability ratings form Consumer Reports mag and are a pita to drive around (big azz car, pita to park etc etc)

for first time car, id get a Civic or Corolla

get top mpg, super reliable and are just nice, clean layout cars overall
