Its a beautiful amp, trust me its not over the top. When you see it in person, it actually looks very classy, like a show amp. Get it, and run it at 3 ohms, and you will love it. Pg even warrants that it is virtually impossible to send it in protect mode, even in the texas heat. It will decrease its output by 2 dbs in the event if it ever overheated, and it will continue to play. It shouldnt overheat thoughThe PG Xenon looks pretty cool (a little over the top with styling) and seems to perform well....hmmm any opinions on it?
My xenon 200.2 is bigger than my jbl 1200.1. The xenon 1200.1 is 22L x 10.6w x2.5h. So yes they are some huge amps, but i Love them.I like lager amps...actually...LOLI dont like a 1000+ watt amp that you look at and at first glance you think it is a 100X2...

The only drawback is it is rather large, but some may not consider that a draw back.
The pg forums no longer exist. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gifthat is correct, they actually never go in to protect mode for overheating, they decrease the output level by 2db when it comes close to overheating and keeps on doing it if it needs too. Head over to the PG forums where the PG techs talk about how hard they try to put it in thermal. Even covering all the vents with tape and wraping the amp in a large towel upside down still played loud and clear all day long.
