Cable Company Says "Screw You NFL Network"

I'm sure all the NFL fans here are familiar with the new Thursday night games that are aired exclusively on the NFL network, which I think is exclusive to Direct TV, Dish network may have it im not sure. Well my guess is there have been some angry cable viewers who have been calling my local cable company, Suddenlink.

They have now made an ad that they have been playing about every 3-4 commercial breaks that basically says, " We tried getting the NFL network but those money hungry NFL people said no" The ad was very funny in saying how the NFL wanted so many hundreds of millions to carry the station on the cable network

For those of you interested in games on the NFL Network, please consider the following.

Pro games carried on the NFL Network are often available on broadcast TV stations in competing teams’ home markets.

The 2007 Insight Bowl, featuring Oklahoma State University vs. Indiana University, will be televised on KSBI-TV out of Oklahoma City.

If you don’t have TV access to your favorite pro games, there may be Internet-based options for keeping up with the action.

Offered its own channel, the NFL Network said “No.”

Asked if Suddenlink could have a deal like the one given to Cox in Oklahoma City and Tulsa, the NFL Network said “No.”

My folks' place that has Dish Network gets it.

My apartment that has regular Comcast cable does not.

Based on the coverage now, I don't think I'd pay extra for it...now, if the air schedule was expanded to more than one or two games I'd want to watch per year, I think I'd be willing to pay for it.

I have it at home on satellite, so it isnt a big deal for me. But it is a f'd up way of doing things
