I came home from work this morning to find quite a few reported posts. I wanted to say thankyou for you guys helping us support the rule system. I think this is a sign that members here not only support many of the new rules, but want to help us change the site for the better. This attitude is appreciated, and is exactly how we can and will make this a better site for the majority.

I found other mods handled most of the reported posts already, last night, but there are one or two Ive created a thread in the mod section to get clarification on before taking any action (in case anyone wonders why nothing has happened on a post they reported last night).

Please be patient with us, as we have a couple new mods (myself and Bob of course), and as most of you know some rules have recently changed or the intention to better enforce them has been announced. It will take some time for everyone to get on the same page, mods and members alike. In the mean time, your patience and support is necessary and appreciated. Thanks again.

There is no single link to the new rules I was referring to. Many of them are rules for the classifieds, and those rules can be found stickied there. Other new rules, such as the rickrolling thing, have no official link that Im aware of. The topic I posted in the moderator-only forum about is to get a better idea of what constitutes member harassment, where and how its enforced, and to (hopefully) get all the mods on the same page on it. Because member harassment is a large topic, and one with some profound possible effects.

If you guys want to give any input on what you'd like to see happen in regards to these topics, or any others, please speak up in the 'what can Goob do to improve this site' thread stickied at the top of this forum. Some rules are non-negotiable, and member requests can/will not affect them. Our hands are tied, so to speak, with those rules (like no ******). But many rules, like the layout of the classified, has been greatly influenced by the members' wishes. You guys sometimes think you aren't heard around here, but you are. Posting a well thought out, positively expressed message is your best method of helping affect the evolution of this site.

It really does. More car audio and less thunderdome. The way it should be. I don't go to car audio forums to see whats being going on the last few weeks in the dome and thus I've stayed away lately. Changes could bring me back a little more like I used to be when I first came here.

Maybe it sucks because people like you are to busy keeping up with the dome instead of offering your knowledge on audio discussion.
