I have to ask, how old is that computer in your sig? Are you a computer geek or an audio guy? After reading a lot of your posts and seeing your signature I have to say you seem to be into things you know nothing about. Adding your computer on your audio forum signature is kinda shameful but not including the PSU you're running is kind of misleading and questions your knowledge of the subject at hand.

the aq is rated at 14 volts tho...so doesnt that mean when your booming if your voltage drops to lets say 12.8 volts youre not even getting full power???

I'll vouch that the Hifonics brutus 2600 series does to rated power if you have the electrical to back it up.

I've never used the AQ though.

To the OP, flip a coin and make a choice. As long as the used amp wasn't exposed to constant under voltage, you should be fine. If you like new and shiny, combined with a warranty and good customer service, just ask yourself if it is worth the additional money or not. Then again, there is always a risk in buying used, so is the savings really worth it?

Now for an aside note: The FfvB - vBulletin Management plugin for Firefox is sooooo sweet. I don't have to see another post by chase007 again, even if someone quotes him.

there are oscope tests somewhere around this forum for the 2607 or 2608, i do not remember who did them though. It did indeed make rated power at 14 volts.
