bxi 1208d power problem

hi, I bought a hifonics bxi 1208d from woofersetc and hooked up the system but there is a weird problem:(

my system consists of a stock hu-jl cleansweep, re audio sr 10', helix 4channel amp.

there is 1 run of 4awg stinger power wire from batt to amps. Grounds are taken from under the backseats. stinger rca's are connected to hifonics inputs from helix's rca outputs.

I calibrated jl stuff, tried 2 diff boxes and **** hifonics barely moves re sr d4:( I know bxi1208d is a little bit overrated but no matter where the gain knob is, it cant move a 300w rms sub. Sub is correctly wired to 2 ohm impedance. I didnt connected hifonics remote boost knob but I dont think its a problem. Polarity checked also:(

Please help both amp and sub are new, what is the problem in this setup:crap:

Something is wired wrong, or you're not setting gains properly...that amp should give you at MINIMUM maybe 100 under rated power, I'm getting rated out of my 2607 at 4 ohms, and I did at 8 and 2.67 ohms too. use a dmm and check impedence of your sub at the amps terminals to ensure its wired correctly, and then measure AC voltage your amp is putting out. If its wired to 2 ohms, 300 rms would be only ~24 volts

my rca cable has 4 ends on its both sides. I am using 2 of them: jl front rca outputs to hifonics' inputs, can it be a problem?

when measuring ac voltage amp puts out, i disconnect sub's speaker cables right? and choose AC 200 on voltmeter. I did this but dmm reads 3-5volts max even at max gain setting.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

how an ipod can directly connected to hifonics, you mean jl cleansweep's aux inputs i think:rolleyes:

With the same rca cable and jl audio's same rca outputs; I hooked my 4 channel amp and no problem it works, pumps out plenty of power. but this **** mono amp's speaker outputs shows 0.5-1 volts.

Maybe hifonics rca inputs or speaker outputs messed up. If so is it easy to fix:confused: looks like I have to repair a brand new brutus amp lol:verymad:

I have experienced a problem like this on a friends vehicle. It turned out that it was due to running rcas from the HU's rear output into a 4 channel amp and than out into an amp for bass and the bass amp wasn't getting much of a signal. I ran a separate set of rca's from the HU's sub output to the bass amp and the sub came to life! Don't give up on that bxi just yet. I would suggest getting an after market HU with the right outputs.

thanks for the help but I cant get an aftermarket deck:( I dont think jl's rca outputs has a problem because i checked it with another amp. How can i test the jl's rca outputs with a dmm?

LOL u were right we tried it with a deck and it slams. Sorry hifonics for bad words:D

lets come to the //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/verymad.gif.3f39c5c2fd57527b671fad3efdfac756.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif jl shitsweep

why this brand new jl processor dont send a **** signal to my mono amp? Maybe it is wired to HU wrong? Because I wasnt impressed a lot from my helix midbass drivers (doors dynamated too) when we hook it to the 4 channel amp.

or there is a problem in jl's rca front outputs. but its new stuff:confused: Maybe only jl's rear outputs send bass signals but its irrational too..
