you should check out the hutterites we have here.. way more out there than Mormons.. at least in practice.

they are like old world Jesus hippies. South Dakota has the highest concentration of colonies in the nation.

they live in big groups with no personal property ownership. They are one of three remaining Anabaptist groups (Mennonites and Amish being the other two), and they mostly survive on large scale farming/ranching/poultry operations.

they dress funny, like the Amish, but they do use technology.

they all speak German.

they drive really nice brand new trucks and vans, and mostly travel outside the colonies in groups.

they make excellent wine and will trade it for bottles of whiskey.

They sell meats and produce.

there are 3 colonies in the country where i live and they make up a significant portion of the population here.
