Buying a SUV.. What do yall think?

Well i've been kind of disapointed with the car i bought a few months ago ( 2002 diamante vr-x). And now i think its time to try and find something i like.. last time i looked at the gas prices convienced me to not even look into a truck as my next car. thats jus my opnion though, my next car will be a hybrid vehicle when i purchase my new vehicle in 2008

i no, gas prices ****, but my car now only gets about 300-325 miles per tank... And i do 80% highway driving... And on my 16 dalon tank thats only about 21 mpg.. ( hi rev car) .. But i look at it like this as well.. I'm not the only middleclass person with a suv and crazy gas prices.. AS far as audio?? How do these 2 sound?

just out of curiousity, would a hybrid be slightly bottlenecked system wise due to the electrical system and whatnot? dont know much about them though, so i could be wrong. just curious
