i think theres someone selling a x600.1 for 160 shipped in the classifieds...i was thinking about getting it for my assassin 10s, but im not in a hurry or anything.

yeah, i think that one's gone, unless there's another one, but i already ordered a new one off ebay for $200 shipped.

anyone have any details on the relay mod to bypass the Xe.load and get full 2 ohm power out of this thing? and can my assassin's handle that much (if i set the gains carefully)?

there is a detailed post on this forum about the mod.. it even points to a web link to purchse the dei for like 12-15$.. the nice thing about the mod is it doesnt involve opening up and tampering with the unit itself rather uses a dei to fool the amp into 0 ohm or wide open mode.. with your two 10s it will be 2 ohm load.. and that will work.. just dont go lower then 2 ohm, or you risk toasting it..

do a search, you will find it.. but honestly.. those assassins arent going to need any more then stock power

i wis i knew you were looking lol.... anyway yeah they will ALL DO OVER 800 WATTS period... at 2 ohms with the mods expect a 30% gain in power. it will do the full 1600 at 1 ohm and i do not advise this at all.. doing this mod is fine at 2ohms.. it does however bypass all saftey and protection circuits ob the amp so at 1 ohms expect fast heat and a meltdown. 2 ohms and around 1200watts you should be fine.
