Radioshack has one for 50, IIRC theres one thats 60, and is decently accurate, im not sure how accurate the r-shack one is, but i doubt its within ~3 db or so.

Termlab runs about 500-600 bucks IIRC. Not sure how much an audiocontrol runs.

There are others though, im sure someone else knows.

Also what are you using it for? Getting a general number of what you hit or an exact score? Also just for seeing if a change you made gets you louder? These will all help determine the right one.

splmeter.com ,iirc has cheaper meters. dont know about accuracy. then the TL and AC are always there..

the radioshack one I have only goes up to 126db with questionable accuracy. I only use it to get a rough estimate in the car, and tune my HT.

Just save up and get a TL it is the industry standard. It is what everyone compares all the other mics to. And plus if you compete you will get a real close estimate on what your score is.
