halo 3 is coming, and i need a 360... which friggin bundle should i get? because i cant JUST get the console itself... i need crap to go with it...

anyone know where the best place to get a 360 is and what "package" or "bundle" to get?

if you're buying it solely for halo 3 you might as well just get the halo 3 special edition xbox. iirc it comes with everything you need to get online. but if you're not that big of a halo nerd, get the premium if you plan on playing on xbox live, because you can't get online with the core without buying everything that comes with the premium, and it's cheaper to just buy the premium than the core and then everything else.

I really never saw the big deal about Halo. I've played them all, and they are all reasonably decent FPS's, but that's about it. Nothing innovative or interesting, just an old *** format reused once again. It's not even the best multiplayer fps, compared to UT or CS. I don't get it.

I guess its just because its the first game that brought the multiplayer experience to joe sixpack's living room without making it a big production to get connected. Any dumbass can get online and frag. I dunno, Halo is one of the most generic games I've ever played, I dun get it.

i originally bought the core system, but they failed to tell me that it was the last one they had, and that it was being discontinued...well it was a p.o.s., it kept freezing up while i was playing Oblivion so took it back. they told me that if i wanted another core id have to drive about 50 miles to get it, i said no im not driving that far and i asked for my money back, they then told me they cant do that either. so then i asked if i couldd upgrade to the pro and they said it as fine, then i find out that they dont have any of those in stock either so i had to drive 20 miles away to get that...then i went back up there and found that there had been a major price drop in oblivion, it went from 49.99 used to 29.99 new in a week and a half, did they refund the difference? nope.

walmart>gamestop, unless you want to trade shit in...

Get the premium at the very least, do not get the core. Make sure the Premium has the upgraded chipset, and that it has the hdmi slot also.

I bought my 360 from game exchange and I just happened to know the guy working behind the counter. He threw in another headset and controller for free. I had to rent games because I didn't have any left to buy something but hey whatever.

And can you guys link as to what you mean by "premium?"
