Did he have high feedback? Did you file a paypal dispute/claim? Try to use escrow services on purchases 500 or greater. I bought 5,000 dollar wheels and the transaction went smooth.

Yeah, I thought paypal had ya covered. I've had good luck so far. There are some bad apples out there though.

Paypal DOES NOT have you covered. If they cant recover funds you dont get money back. This is why i use a credit card on my paypal. You get screwed? File a claim with the CC company.

paypal doesnt have your back? I got my money back from paypal. I had bought spent $650 on a radio and he took 2 weeks to respond, so I put in a complaint. They took it back out of his account and put it in mine. After they proved he sent no tracking number and showed no proof he sent it.

Im still waiting on ebay resolution, and I paid with paypal. Im hoping they see right through his scam. The reason I posted it was bcuz this guy still has stuff for sale on ebay.. apparently i shouldve posted this someplace else, and i think i upset the librarian.

They took it back out of his account and put it in mine.

That only happens if the scamming party hasn't taken the money out of their paypal account!!! Once they transfer it out or withdraw it from paypal that's that...you'd have to wait until they put some money back into their paypal account and if they've scammed someone then the chances of that happening is slim to none....

Why would someone come to the classifieds on this website to buy something from eBay? The Amplifier forum would have been a much better place to post this.

Wrong, but nice try.

They actually withdrew it straight from his bank account which was linked to guess what? his paypal account. He had no funds in his paypal account because he tried to close it.
