But definately go with the yellow top as well! Or you can replace the stock battery with one of the kinetic batteries they are awesome as well. I kinda did the same thing as you, I bought the HO alt but my headlights were still dimming then I put the yellowtop in and voila problem solved! If your battery cant store the power that the alt is putting out then theres no point ya dig?

Oh I gotcha, well try just replacing the battery then, where will you be getting it from?

a friend of mine said he has a friend who can get them brand new at dealer cost

Dont count out the kinetic's man they cost a lil more but there like a battery and a cap put together! There dry cell so you culd mount the bastards upside down if you wanted to! Check em out on ebay and Ive seen a few people selling em on here in the classified section!

now I could get a yellowtop for less than each off those. does performance warrant the price increase??

So i take it that the kintek are similar to Batcaps then?? battery and cap

Hell yes the price warrants the performance! Go to any audio shop or ask anyone on here that installs systems for a living and they will tell you the same! Im working on two orion hcca's and Im gonna run two of these! rReplace my battery and put one in the cab! If I had it to do over again I would have got this in the first place! Dont get me wrong the optima is a badass battery but cant f*** with the kinetik!

So what is the difference between the kinetik and the Batcap 800?

So would adding a batcap which is also a combination of battery and capacitor and my existing battery be better than just changing the front battery with the kinetik alone?

You need to figure out how much total amperage draw your car and system needs then i'd buy the kinetik according! Ditch the stock battery its probably only a 600 amp battery in an accord! If your worried about price just go with the yellowtop the big 3 and see how that does! If your still not at what you want then you could always get a smaller kinetik!

theres a batcap 2000 for like 160 bucks for sale in the classifieds ( i think its still there). And kinetik batteries are not god, for you any decent battery will work though. Competitors have changed out their battery banks from kinetik to deka and have gained 1 db from just doing that (granted its just a burp box)

battery + cap = gimmick.

Get the YT, Deka, or Kinetic, you won't really notice any difference. The main point is that your front batt is older and needs to be replaced with largest that will fit.
