Bump for the buck

Just a couple of questions

out of these subs will pump the hardest and sound the cleanest

2 hx2 12s

2 type r 12s

4 types s 12s

Or 2 vegas 15s

I was thinking of running a legacy amp they dont seem to bad. Should i run 4 or 8 gage wires

your problem in these choices that i see is your amp selection. now out of those i would say the HX2's will bump the hardest but not sound the cleanest, depending on what vega subs your talking about they would be the best choice but only if your talking about the monster of vega's subs the stroker. anway the type R's are the best mix of SPL and SQ on that list my man and they are a good price.

keep it thumpin,

adam

For the $$ ....Vega 15's. I think those would get the loudest of the ones mentioned. But the Vega's only take ported enclosures, so if that is not an option, then cross them off your list. I would invest some more money in a better amp than Legacy. Something around 800-1000w rms

what amps would you suggest. Ive herd that legacys are good but what would u ppl suggest. All this is going in a 94 t-bird with a pioneer 7300 deck and 4 jbl 6X8 with a 200x4 carver amp.

well, first of all, legacys are terrible, some people just think they;re good because of they're "watts" and price. But have you ever heard a legacy amp hooked up to subs?? there is alot of distortion, and sometimes there's so much clipping will come into play. And that would really **** with some of the nice subs you've picked out. So my advice forwut ur looking for is to get the type r's and a better amp, ppi, pheonix gold, rockford fosgate, alpine, or kicker. would be the best choices.

i like the hx2s for the price they bump pretty good if ya want good spl id go with a 15 though but if ya want some sq then go with a pair of 12s if ya want a hx2 i got one for sale

I'd definitely go with the Type R subs. Alpine has built this thing to take some serious abuse. A buddy of mine bought two of the 15" Type R's from this place on the internet... I think it was http://www.usautosounds.com . He paid WAY less than what the local stereo shops sell them for. Anyway, since he got such a good deal, he bought a bigger amp which really makes them kick!

I would have to suggest 2 adire shiva's ( $125 each) and a jbl 1200.1. The shiva's are dual 8ohm coils. So you could give the amp the 2ohm loadit needs for the 1200w. 600w a piece to two shiva's will hit hard and very clean //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
