i just got my windows tinted on saturday. i have not touched the inside of the windows or rolled them down. i just went out and cleaned the outside of the glass with invisible glass, which is awesome stuff //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif . now that i have cleaned the glass i have noticed quit a few bubbles( id estimate atleast a 100). they are all very small for the most part, and mainly in the corners. the bottom left side of the rear glass is the worst. in my opinion it looks bad //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif . how picky should i be? the owner of the shop has been doing it since 89. i did get illegal tint, so i have no warranty but the guy who owns the shop said they would cover their workmanship. i am supposed to call the guy on wednesday bc he didnt tint over the dotmatrix and said there is a new product out (dotrix) that he hasnt used and if i wanted to be the guinea pig who would put it on for free. there are some bubbles i will definitely have him take care of, but how picky and extensive on my complaint should i be? thx guys. i dont wanna be an ******* to the guy, bc he is a super nice guy but i wanna be happy with the job i had done. it is my first tint job ive had done so i have no other jobs to compare it too. ideas or comments plz

give it a few weeks man. they should have explained this to you when you got it done. when they put the tint on there, they wet the windows down, so that the film can slide across the surface of the glass, so that they can align it and make it fit good and stuff.

you just gotta let the water dry out. if it hasnt gone away in a couple of weeks, then go back. sometimes they can get some dirt of imperfections between the film and the glass, but just hang tight for a little while. see if it gets better, and goes away. sometimes the water between the film is worse than others, but i bet you most of what is in your window (if not all) goes away on its own //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

my wife paid for it for my 25th birthday. was $220 dollars for the formula one tint. id say thats supposed to be a professional job. and yea im gonna let it dry till i go up there mid to late next week but i dont know that all those bubbles are gonna go away. the owner of the shop didnt do the job btw, it was some young guy that works there. but id say for $220 dollars and no warranty do to to the 15%, it should be done right no ifs and s or buts! am i wrong?

the owner did say it would take a lil time to dry out, maybe im just making to big a deal out of it. i hope your right:furious:

them not offering a warranty because you got tint darker than the legal limit sounds shady to me...

they offer the tint, they do the same labor as they do on legal tint jobs, the only difference is that its not legal to be installed on a car traveling on public roads... seems to me like 15% tint should have the exact same warranty and stipulations as 35% tint...

i believe thats all based on the formula one warranty itself , but i know nothing about tint so i cant say for sure. i asked the guy if i got legal 35%tint on the front door windows would i have a warranty on those windows and he said no, that it had to be legal all the way around for it to apply //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
