BTL's or Q's for SPL?

whats optimal to get them moving though? Say for a 15" would ~2500 watts be cool?

That would be great, I had a Kicker ZX2500.1 on mine... and it was an EXCELLENT match.

The test done on the btl in the 12" challenge didn't you guys only use a 1 x 4" areo port?

If so more port would have helped out no question.

Right but that wasnt the point of the 12 challenge

Point of the test was to give a generalization...not to make one sub louder then the others..and not get the most spl out of one possible...just a simple generalization

But just wondering why you would only use a single 4" areo port.

Was the most common area associated with the tuning of the woofers...for the enclosure volume used.

General box, for general output in a typical scenario.
