I thought they were pretty much just 9500s with compsite cones? I would think they would sound almost identical

actually that was my very first setup and it jus sits in my garage, i have 2 type R's in a tcaab box and sundown 3000d but i pushed the R's with a bxi2006d

i believe it goes like this

the OLD 99 series is the NEW 95 series

the new 99 series is a completely seperate subwoofer

at least thats how i understand it.
