9917 would just get overall louder? and be able to take more power is that the reason for hands down yes's?

no meter..i dont care about numbers to be honest.

umm lets see iirc it was 4 cu ft at 36hz. amp was my current amp.

So did you get the typical BTL eats the lows while the HDC gets the highs result?

pretty much. it wasnt that the hdc had no lows...it was just they sounded hollow

just asking, but what happened to liking the hdc3?
i say BTL, love my 2

i still love the hdc, however, the noise is what bugs the hell out of me. i just kept thinking over and over even after i sold it, "hmm, ive never heard any other sub do this". then i saw the hdc thread, and its like "meh, not for me anymore". still a good value sub, but at this point, i would say btl.
