im about to transfer all my music files to my laptop from my brothers computer what would be the best way to do this?

fastest way is taking the hd out if its a desktop and installing it as a slave on to your computer if its a desktop- then just copy the music over from one hd to another. Another way to do it is through a network share, and a third is an external hd - but that requires copying twice. A fourth is cds/dvd burns.

I use TERACOPY to copy my files, and was able to transfer my 30 gig of sh!t to the external and then to the other machine in less than 10 minutes

If you would like to share files over the internet you can configure an ftp server on your machine and nat your local address to an outside address
