Brutus 2200 question

hey guys i just hooked up my brutus 2200 wat amp to my 2 15" L7's

when ever the bass hits even if its fairly low, the protect light flashes on.

i mean the system totally works, this just worrys me, that i am going to fry this amp.

i have 1/0 power and grounds

a yellow top under the hood

stock alt 140 amp but i make sure its tacking around 2,000 rpms when turnin it up

is this normal for that protect lite to flash with the bass?

2 what 15" L7's yeah

2200wrms @ 1ohm

kicker 15" L7 in a ported box = 750wrms (its in the manual, not 1000wrms)

so really i only need 1500wrms to push these subs.....

whats the vc config of the subs? and how do you have them wired?

dosent that amp have a clipping light?

its wired at 1 ohm to get 2200wats rms to my (2) 15" L7's

it doesnt fully light up, it just kinda blinks dimmly with the bass.

but if it is a clipping light its blinking when the subs are barley moving, dimmly, like wtf lol that shouldnt be clipping

I had one for about a year and a half. The light always flashed a little. Nice amp though. Never shut off or gave me any problems.

thanks for the feedback, yeah the amp doesnt seem like its clipping, and the light flashes the same amount when its high or low, so im assuming it just does that, and you said ure ran for a year and a half. So ill just not worry bout it. Still gotta run a HO alt tho, and make sure i dont blast when im idling for now.

my friend's bx605 does that from low voltage. check and see if its dipping below 12v.
