Brother is interested in buying a motorcycle...

So yeah my brother is looking into buying a motorcycle since gas is too much and there is a lot of traffic here in Miami. I was wondering what bikes do you guys recommend. He doesn't want nothing too expensive. Some thing reliable that he could cruise around with on a daily basis. Nothing to race.

Oh no! too small the R1 will put him on his *** quick,They him to go test the new R6's he should like them,but I heard the new Honda CBR's are a lil more comfortable( riding, the buke the height of the handle are high which=less presure on his rist might be better if like u said stuck in traffic

Yeah he just wants some thing to cruise around with. Easy to drive.

I race and have grown up on bikes. I've had a GS500 (learned on it), GSXR600, 750 (currently race the 750), Yamaha R6 and Ride daily an MV Agusta F4 SPR (avatar)...if he has little to no experience, he needs to take it very easy on a new 600; I've powered wheelied an R6 in third. They're no jokes. Dont even consider a 1000, he'll down it and die. All things condidered (experience, price, reliability, etc...) get a newer Honda F4i. Its pretty much a scaled down version of the CBR, its still a 600 but cant keep up with a "full-blown 600". It'll give him a very stable platform to learn on and give him a lot of space to have fun with, speed and performance wise...my $.02

I'm a Harley man but my friends first bike was the YZF600R, I rode it and it's a very forgiving bike, still is a large displacement but it wont come back and slap you in the head like alot of bikes will. Still is very very fast, but still controlable enough for someone who is still learning. The R6 is much faster than the straight out 600R. You can find some good used 600R's also. Good luck to your brother and have fun...

if gas is a problem and you gotto weave through traffic....

yamaha chappy is the answer...i mean a 80cc that can be worked up to do well over 90kmh...and it hardly sips gas....

but for big-ish bikes....R6 is good...would like to tell you try the ducati ST4...but we dont want your brother dead now do we

Yeah he just wants some thing to get him to places. Nice looking bike that doesn't take too much gas and can get him in and out of traffic.
