well I purchased a non working LANZAR opti160 4ch amp(was told it was working)

I opened it up and took it halfway aapart and found a burt up mosfet and bnurnt resistor.

My question is can I just put in any IRFZ40 mosfet?Do I have to change the whole line of them?,an how do I know what resistor to use, since it is all burt up.

What caused them to burn? You'll should at least change two, the npn/pnp.

But removing all of them and checking them with a diode meter would help.

Im not sure if it was broken or I hooked it up wrong? plugged it in and heard no sound, then smelled a wierd smell, took apart the amp and now I see two burt up fets and 1 burnt up resistor. what does npn/pnp mean?

should I just change the two? or four now?

are there any amp repair web sites?
