broken amp repair costs???

Took my amp to a shop down the street and they told me that the amp is good but the RCA board is Loos and that's why it goes in and out when the rca is plugged in anyways they quotes me at 60 to repair does this sound right?

They probably make $60.00 dollars an hour to repair amps or that is a flat rate. Shops can charge whatever they want to as if your willing to pay it thats up to you.

If it has broken solder connections its not a hard fix at all probably take 30 mins to repair the amp and total solder used to fix it would cost about 5 cents.

So the other cost is taking the amp apart to get to the connections and putting it back together.

Ive done this repair on several amps and charge the people $5.00 to fix it

If you have a soldering gun and solder its an easy fix

If you cant do it yourself then its worth it, if the shop does good work.

Shipping to and from a repair place could be close to that cost if you dont go local.
